Privacy Policy for Slash

Slash is a PC game deal finder and price-alert app operated by TechRealms ("Slash", "we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains what information is handled when you use the Slash Android app.
Information we handle
Slash does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or payment information.
The app and its service handle:
- a randomly generated device identifier used only to keep your watchlist separate;
- your Firebase Cloud Messaging token, so requested price alerts can reach your device;
- games you add to your watchlist, optional target prices, and alert-delivery history;
- app interactions and basic usage events through Google Analytics for Firebase;
- crash reports, diagnostics, app version, device model, and operating-system information through Firebase Crashlytics; and
- information collected by Google Mobile Ads, which may include IP address (used to estimate approximate location), ad or app-set identifiers, app interactions, and diagnostics. The exact advertising data depends on your region, device settings, and consent choices.
Search terms and game-detail requests are sent to the Slash service to return results. We do not use them to create a named user profile.
How we use information
We use this information to provide the deal feed, search, watchlists, and price alerts; operate and secure the service; diagnose crashes; understand aggregate feature usage; prevent abuse and fraud; and show and measure advertising.
Service providers and sharing
Slash uses Google Firebase for messaging, analytics, installations, and crash reporting; Google AdMob for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention; Cloudflare for hosting and database storage; and IsThereAnyDeal, CheapShark, GamerPower, and participating stores to obtain listings and open the deal links you choose.
Google Mobile Ads may share advertising-related data with advertising partners according to Google's policies and your consent choices. Slash does not sell your name or contact information and does not collect those details.
Consent and advertising choices
Where required, Slash asks for advertising consent before Google Mobile Ads is initialized or an ad is requested. If a privacy-options entry point is required in your region, it appears under Settings > Privacy choices. You can also reset or delete the Android advertising ID in device settings.
Retention and deletion
Deal catalogue data is not tied to an individual. Anonymous device, watchlist, push-token, and alert-history records are kept while needed to provide price alerts. You can permanently remove those records from Settings > Delete my data. Removing the app alone may not immediately delete server records.
Analytics, crash, advertising, and infrastructure providers retain information according to their published policies and configured retention periods.
Security
Release builds communicate with the Slash service over HTTPS. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children
Slash is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Play Console target audience must exclude children unless the app and advertising configuration are changed to meet the applicable Families requirements.
International processing
Service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, they use legal mechanisms intended to protect data transferred internationally.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain uses. Use the in-app privacy and deletion controls or contact us to make a request.

Changes to this policy
